Unlike the GI HD Mini, the Galaxy Innovations HD Mini Plus has a new design, an additional USB port, and 3G USB modem support. The other specifications remained the same.
The GI HD Mini Plus is a very small HD receiver, barely 110х70х19 mm. It can be located behind the LCD panel or Hi-Fi stand on a wall easily. An external IR sensor means that there’s no problem with using the RC to switch channels while the receiver is located that way.
The device is built on a new high-performance 32bit RISC 594 MHz ALi 3511 processor. The GI HD Micro Plus has a single Conax card reader.
The GI HD Mini Plus has a built-in LAN interface that allows connecting to the Internet (YouTube, RSS, Weather Forecast, Google Maps). When fitted with a USB Wi-Fi adapter, the device works perfectly in wireless networks. The adapter is hardware supported and can be set up in receiver menu.
The device supports most widespread video formats, including MKV, and also may record (either normally or with a preset timer) to any external USB storage such as Flash drives or HDDs.
